LUIZ’S DEPARTURE ALMOST CONFIRMED AFTER LATEST DEVELOPMENT

David Luiz’s exit from Arsenal may have just been confirmed after the London club reviews the shirt number of their latest signing, Ben White. The Gunners have confirmed and announced that they have completed the signing of the England international defender from fellow Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion following his participation with the England national team at the Euros this summer. White was attracting a lot of interest from some clubs but Arsenal were the most interested side and they also were the only side that tabled an official offer for the player a few days ago.

Both Arsenal and Brighton have since confirmed that they reached an agreement for the transfer that is worth up to £50 million, even though a lot of people have claimed that he is not worth up to that amount. At his unveiling, after signing his contract, White was seen holding an Arsenal shirt that had the number 4 on the back. That’s the number Luiz wore at the club last season and handing it over to White surely means that the club have already decided to let go of the Brazilian defender.

CLUBS BATTLE TO SIGN CHELSEA’S LOFTUS-CHEEK

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is an in-demand player this summer as he is already attracting interest from a couple of clubs. The Chelsea star was sent out on loan last season after it was certain that he would not be getting enough playing time at Stamford Bridge, so all the parties involved believed that spending time out on loan would be the best option.

Loftus-Cheek has long been with Chelsea and is a product of their youth academy but he has not been able to convince any of the last few managers of the club that he has what it takes to become a regular starter in the team. His lack of game time is the major reason why he has been leaving the club on loan in recent times but he has still not been able to gather enough experience worthy enough to earn him a starting spot in the Chelsea midfield.

GREEK CLUB CHASING ARSENAL DEFENDER THIS SUMMER

Following the announcement made by English Premier League club Arsenal that their defender David Luiz will be leaving the club at the end of his contract in June, several clubs have been who wing interest in the Brazil international defender. Luiz has not been able to prove to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that he is capable of being with the squad ahead of the new season and it looks as though he will be heading for the exit when his contract with the London club expires later this month.

Following his move to Arsenal from Chelsea some months ago, the Brazilian central defender made a remarkable first impression and progressed well at the heart of the Arsenal defense but he has not been able to replicate the fine form he showed during the opening periods of his Arsenal career. He has already been told by the club that he is free to start looking for another club to join soon and he can also start holding contract negotiations with any club that shows interest in acquiring his services.

ATHENS SUBMIT ENQUIRY FOR CHELSEA DEFENDER

The quest to find the next club for Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri continues and the Brazilian left-back is currently doubling efforts in the hunt for the next destination he wants to play his football. The player’s agent has confirmed that his client is unhappy at Stamford Bridge and is seeking a move away this summer so he can find another club where he can play more minutes of football at.

Emerson was signed by ex-Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and even though his future at the Blues was looking bright then, the departure of the Italian manager meant that his place in the team would have a huge question mark. There have been three manager changes since Conte’s departure as Maurizio Sarri, Frank Lampard, and now, Thomas Tuchel, have all been assigned the position as the club’s manager since then.

THREE AEK PLAYERS MAKES GREECE SQUAD

The three AEK Athens players invited to the Greece national team for the three games during this March international break were named in the squad for the World Cup 2022 qualifier with Georgia in Group B of the UEFA section. Greece welcomed Georgia to Athens on Wednesday night in a qualifying clash ahead of Qatar 2022.

AEK Athens players Petros Mantalos, Stratos Svarnas and Michalis Bakakisall made the Greece squad for the Georgia game, which ended in a 1-1 draw.  Young AEK Athens right-back Bakakis was given a start for the game, while his more experienced club teammates were left on the bench.

AEK Athens Show Interest In Manchester United Defender

Greek club AEK Athens have shown interest in signing defensive outcast Phil Jones from English Premier League side Manchester United in the summer. The defender is looking very much less likely to get himself back into the starting XI and continues to battle for game time and fitness at Old Trafford.

Jones was signed by former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and was tipped for great things and huge success at the club following the massive impression he made at his previous club. Since then, he has endured mixed seasons and has been a Red Devil for over a decade now. He has also rarely played under Olé Gunnar Solksjær this season and has been tipped to seal a move away from the club if he wants to continue his footballing career.
