ATHENS SUBMIT ENQUIRY FOR CHELSEA DEFENDER

The quest to find the next club for Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri continues and the Brazilian left-back is currently doubling efforts in the hunt for the next destination he wants to play his football. The player’s agent has confirmed that his client is unhappy at Stamford Bridge and is seeking a move away this summer so he can find another club where he can play more minutes of football at.

Emerson was signed by ex-Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and even though his future at the Blues was looking bright then, the departure of the Italian manager meant that his place in the team would have a huge question mark. There have been three manager changes since Conte’s departure as Maurizio Sarri, Frank Lampard, and now, Thomas Tuchel, have all been assigned the position as the club’s manager since then.

THREE AEK PLAYERS MAKES GREECE SQUAD

The three AEK Athens players invited to the Greece national team for the three games during this March international break were named in the squad for the World Cup 2022 qualifier with Georgia in Group B of the UEFA section. Greece welcomed Georgia to Athens on Wednesday night in a qualifying clash ahead of Qatar 2022.

AEK Athens players Petros Mantalos, Stratos Svarnas and Michalis Bakakisall made the Greece squad for the Georgia game, which ended in a 1-1 draw.  Young AEK Athens right-back Bakakis was given a start for the game, while his more experienced club teammates were left on the bench.

AEK Athens Show Interest In Manchester United Defender

Greek club AEK Athens have shown interest in signing defensive outcast Phil Jones from English Premier League side Manchester United in the summer. The defender is looking very much less likely to get himself back into the starting XI and continues to battle for game time and fitness at Old Trafford.

Jones was signed by former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and was tipped for great things and huge success at the club following the massive impression he made at his previous club. Since then, he has endured mixed seasons and has been a Red Devil for over a decade now. He has also rarely played under Olé Gunnar Solksjær this season and has been tipped to seal a move away from the club if he wants to continue his footballing career.

RANGERS EYEING TRANSFER FOR AEK STRIKER

Rangers are reportedly interested in a move for AEK Athens striker Marko Livaja. The 27-year-old Croatian international was strongly linked with a transfer to the Scottish Premiership league leaders before the January transfer window ended earlier this week. Rangers were not able to pull off a deal for the striker before the recent transfer market ended and they might go back for him in the summer. The interest of Rangers in the Croatian striker was revealed by Vital Football.

Rangers were seriously linked with AEK Athens player Marko Livajalast month as potential replacement for the striking duo of Jermaine Defoe and Alfredo Morelos. There were serious doubts over the immediate future of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and Jermaine Defoe but the two players eventually stayed at the Scottish Premiership giants beyond the recent January transfer window. OLYMPIAKOS TAKE ALL BRAGGING RIGHTS AGAINST AEK IN ATHENS DERBY

Moroccan International footballer El Arabi was the star performer and stole the show as Olympiakos emerged 3-0 winners over their bitter rivals in what was a heated and thrilling contest.


North African forward El Arabi initially missed a glorious chance to put his side in front after just ten minutes into the match but eventually redeemed himself later on as he found the back of the net on two occasions. His first goal was a sublime one as he picked up a wonderful pass from French teammate Yann M’Villa to strike a header past opposition goalkeeper Panagiotis Tsintotas.

The manager heaped loads of praises on his players and lauded their professionalism after their 2-0 win earned not only earned them a straight passage to the next round of the competition but also saw them finish as Group winners.
